The Lucena Position from Dvoretsky's Endgame Manual

I'm returning to my Rook endgames and currently studying the Lucena Position in Dvoretsky's Endgame Manual, 4th Ed, p. 150. The "bridging" maneuver is simple. However, how does White win if Black decides to play 1...Kf6? Dvoretsky does not cover this line in the book.

1...Kf6 2.Kf8

2...Ra8+ is met by 3.e8Q blocking the check. 3.e8Q meets just about any other move as well.

Of course. I should've looked at that. It's always obvious when someone else shows you. tongue.png

Thanks James.
