I have been playing for years but need to improve on endgame specifically 

what kind of endgames ,you can start with the drill section here on chess com

I need the most help in the area of pawn development

I believe all playable openings will result in a playable endgame position.

I'd buy a book (100 Endgames You Must Know suggested), and learn the endgames by heart.

Improving your endgame play requires expanding your knowledge, but that isn’t enough. By all means, get a good endgame book and study it. Then learn how to apply the knowledge you’ve gained by practicing endings against a computer or an opponent stronger than you. Practice the basic endings until you can handle them practically without thinking about it. Then do the same with more complicated endings.

This might sound hard, but chess is a hard game. This type of dedicated training is guaranteed to improve your chess. Easy answers are guaranteed to fail.

Even if you are not rated 2000+ and you do have "100 endgames you must know" book, you might as well read it anyway, its fun! 😀

Are endgames studies useful to improves one's endgame? I appreciate them but wonder if the (sometimes highly spectacular and intricate) ideas you have in them can be used elsewhere.
