So i have seen this type of thing before where it isn't necessarily who is closer but something else that determines who gets past the pawns in these situations. And i have no idea why but it looks like white can win with this if he dances around enough...... I don't understand this and have spent a couple hours trying to figure it out before..... it had something to do with not stepping on the same file as your opponent or something??????? will someone please explain or tell me what stops Black from waiting on C or G file to stop the white king from crossing the 5th rank
