Why can't I take chess as seriously as everyone else. I mean I totally play for fun. I love losing to superior opponents. I love defeating superior opponents. I love bullying smaller opponents but I don't read any chess books or watch any YouTubes Am I just weird?

Chess is a hobby and you have the right to treat any hobby as seriously as you want to. If you want to play professionally and win tournaments, you will need to study. If your goal is to use your brain occasionally for fun, you only need to study the amount that you enjoy studying. There are so many people just like you so its completely normal.

100% correct 😃 I just play for fun ♟

You play for intrinsic reasons—because you find chess fun. Not needing external validation (like ratings or titles) to enjoy the game is a sign that you're doing it for the right reasons. You're not weird; you're just not burdened by external expectations.

I shall be fun. And serious. At the same time.

Not taking it serious is probably just a way to try to handle the pain of losing.
