Sorry if this is the wrong forum, or site. Found myself in quite the predicament and am curious how one might recover(as white). White to move.

You don’t recover as white, what you do is not get in this position in the first place

The bishop in the bottom right corner is completely free to take, unless I'm missing something. Hope this helps.

@RascalX_IV my concern with taking the bishop is taking my Q from the center, for that reason I imagine pawn to f3 is the next best move

How did you reach the above position?

If you don't capture bishop, you are too far behind in material. So better capture, then try to activate pieces and hope you can get a draw or see opponent blundering.

No worries! You're in the right place. Chess puzzles can be tricky, but don't give up—every move counts. Analyzing all possible outcomes can help you find the best way to recover. Keep strategizing, and you might just turn the game around! myloweslife

CodeineCatholic, that's a very good point, as the rook is pinned to the queen, however I think the queen is still quite strong on the long diagonal and you could probably get it back into the centre, maybe if the queen takes your pawn on C5, I would take the pawn on B7. I think it gives you the tempo, since if black decides to take another pawn (F2), you could take their rook with a check, and if the room blocks, move your queen back to G2 to defend your dark squared bishop. There's most likely a better line to find through the analysis engine, but this is the best I could do, I may be missing something here, in which case I am sorry. But once again I hope this helps
