At just 11 years old, Adi from the United States has shown what steady work and proper guidance can achieve. In the past 90 days, his rapid rating has increased by nearly 500 points, reaching a new personal best of 1041, with an impressive 70% win rate over 136 games.
This progress is not the result of luck or casual play, but of a consistent and carefully structured training program.
The Training Process
Adi spends one to two hours each day working on targeted chess tasks that I send to all my students via Slack. These tasks cover a full range of improvement areas — tactics, endgames, positional understanding, and practical decision-making.
Every week, usually on Wednesday, I analyze one of Adi’s recent games in a 10–15 minute video lesson. During the analysis, I highlight the most critical moments, explain key ideas, and take notes on where improvements are needed. The following live lesson is then focused on these specific weaknesses, ensuring that each week brings visible and measurable progress.
The Results
Adi’s record speaks for itself: 70% of games won, only 27% lost, and a long winning streak in both Blitz and Rapid games. This kind of growth can only come through structured coaching, where each student’s progress is tracked and their training plan is individually adjusted.
Coaching Philosophy
My approach to coaching is based on experience, structure, and personal attention. Every student receives an individual plan built around their playing style and long-term goals. The focus is not only on learning openings, but on developing a deeper understanding of chess — improving calculation, planning, and decision-making.
