Okey @Kaeldorn and @Etymologist35 , so ppl get killed playing chess but chess did not kill them. Just take time and don't play a chess game while you can get killed.

Kitchens also don't kill people. You're defeated, admit it.

Besides, the guy had a stroke in the brain, in French "rupture d'anévrisme" while intensively using his brain for chess. So, "chess did not kill him" is a very questionable statement.

Lmao...you are definitely on to something Frenchman.

Btw, in English we have the word aneurysm and I suspect that is what your French example translates to. Stroke is simply a more broad term.

Avatar of Kaeldorn

Yes it's that. I picked the term "stroke" from my conversations with US citizens during my travels where I've found out they use it for heart attacks but also for arteries breaks in the brain. I'd translate it to "attaque" in French (in the medical sense of it).

Here an illustrative song. Funny thing is that the lead singer died of a heart attack some years ago... Go figure. Does singing kills aswell? surprise

My heart skipped a beat or so while listening to the geetar solo. To be fair I've been listening to soul music for a couple hours and that's a pretty rockin' tune. I dig the sax.

So the lead singer of the Cardiacs died of cardiac arrest (another American term). That is profound.

Well, if you like good music, go take a peek there:

The kitchen also killed no one.

In the U.S., cooking is the leading cause of home fires and injuries, resulting in an average of 470 deaths, 4,150 injuries, and over 158,000 fires annually. Unattended cooking is the primary cause, accounting for over half of these fatalities.

I literally loose a lot and sometimes its cheaters and sometimes I am the problem. The weird thing about me is I can beat high rated players but not low rated players now I am actually thinking I might be really dumb

So, kitchens kill more than chess does. I promise not to weaponize or suggest weaponizing chess or kitchens, and I hope @Kaeldorn can stop trying to get people killed with chess.

Also, some guy created this forum to get chess help, not to learn about its fatality rates.

Now, stop talking about death and instead start a forum on that and invite me.
