Any reccomended openings

So far I've basically learned the basics of the vienna, london, caro-kann, and french. Besides those I just wanted to ask if anyone has any reccomended openings for either black or white based on personal preference. Looking to try something new : ). Have a good day!

Most beginners are taught the Italian since it follows many opening principles and you can normally get a comfortable position, I still play the Italian to this day

I’ve been doing the same, still working on the Scandinavian defense. At your level I only played the Italian and it’s simple variations but then it got boring.

At your level the basics of the opening is what is needed, and should focus on applying the principles of the opening consistently, and in all situations. The games at your level will rarely played using book opening best moves. The principles and tactics will be able to be applied in all situations.

If you are set on wanting to learn a new opening then you should pick one that is a defense against 1d4. I personally use the Queens Indian Defense against 1.d4, although that opening is not as straight forward for a player under 1200. When I was closer to your level I played the Dutch against d4, but moved away from that because I did not like the position I got into with that opening. Also to get better it would be better for you to pick one opening for white, and stick with it, and learn by playing. Also your two openings that you play as black are defenses against e4. Both are great choices, but I would focus on only one, and learn by playing that opening. I personally play the French against e4.

"I've basically learned the basics of the vienna, london, caro-kann, and french."
++ That is way too much. Do not worry about openings.
You do not win or lose because of the opening, but because of blunders and tactical errors.

"if anyone has any reccomended openings for either black or white"
++ As black defend 1 e4 e5 and 1 d4 d5, as white open 1 e4

"Looking to try something new"
++ Do not look for something new.
Play the same opening all the time to accumulate experience with it.
