I don't like very much playing bullet or blitz, because at my elo it's mostly tricks and trying to win on time, so I don't find it as mentally stimulating as regular games. I only play it a bit when I'm waiting for a metro or when the elo difference between bullet / blitz and radip bothers me too much.
But I actually wonder if there is a point where it becomes useful to learn playing in those time controls as well. I guess when you become good, quicker time controls become less of a shitshow?
I've been wondering about this, since I've noticed blitz and bullet time controls were often used in tournaments, GM plays them, etc.
I'll keep playing 99% of rapid for now, but at what point should I try to learn to play in blitz and bullet?
I love bullet u should give it a try it has actually improved my play. On my other account I was a measly 1100 but I've played loads of bullet which skyrocketed my rating to 1800 rapid and 1900 blitz
