You play only daily chess. You can set the ranges of challenges you will accept in your settings.

With a rating of 724, you could probably choose a range 100 above and below.
You can also set a range in a custom challenge.

I used to think I played chess until I took a few lessons. I will play as I think I am a beginer too
I guess i need to start playing real chess as i mostly play bots or my dad. I have been afraid to play human games. But i need to jump in at some point!

You have to play humans at some point, One of my student used to do that, But now he has started to play humans. Engines play completely different to humans. There there is no substitute. Play with family members or even for tougher games, Play chess.com opponents.

I just did just play two 60min games. First one was nerve wracking. 880p game and it was very even. I lost in the end by a blunder but still i was very happy with it. We made friends after it 
Second game i did destroy. It felt a little less balanced.

I’m a beginner too :) (speaking of which, any reason why the default rating is so high on the site? It’s demoralising a bit because I know it will drop incredibly low before it reaches my actual ability). I get pretty anxious about human opponents, but I can’t keep playing bots forever, so I’d love to give someone a game :)
hey acearden. I don't mind losing but playing bots is not good for me. I want to play humans. hit me up I will play.

Just click "play" and choose a time control. You may lose a few but before you know it your rating will adjust and you will start winning.

hi I am also in this application and I am also a beginner I want to be friend with others
I'm not exactly a new chess player but new to this site. It is VERY confusing to me. I can't find any explanations but perhaps in these forums I can find some help. I have only played computer bots here, playing a human seems intimidating haha. I don't understand the times exactly, and how do I get a rating? The analysis data is confusing after the computer games, all these weird numbers in a box? What is the difference between a blunder and a mistake?? If anyone wants to play you can contact me though, I should try at some point - thanks.
