Hi everyone!  My name is Lauren Goodkind and I'm a well established chess teacher based in California.  

Play in my next FREE monthly online chess tournament on Saturday, April 29th at 10am PST. This tournament is for players who are rated below chess.com's 1800 rating.

The tournament is 5 rounds and the time control is G/10. That means one game can last 20 minutes.

I don't like the idea of beginner chess tournaments somehow, feels too exploitable by the more experienced players.

I'm 800 and I assumed (before reading the post) that I was too high for a "beginners" tourney. 1800?!?
