beginners play together

isn’t there a way for beginners to only play online together? like isn’t there any kind of grade system where they pair beginners together and professionals together and so on? do i need to go somewhere specific to only play with beginners or do i need to clarify something on my profile or??

Hi I'm new here too and a beginner. Played one game online. If you check the profile of a prospective play partner you'll see a rating which I am learning about too. Mine is currently c600 I lost to someone with a rating of c1000. Now there are some here with ratings of over 50,000 so we'd not want to play with them yet! Check your rating, improve it by doing practice puzzles. Good luck

Pairing people from the same level happens automatically. The ‘grade system’ you are looking for a is your rating. Of course you have to play a few games before chess.com knows your real strength. I think around 5 or 10 games, then you have a good indication.
If you are a beginner I am afraid that those first games mean playing and loosing against better players.

Steve, I just watched your one game. That was wild! After you promoted to Queen I was sure you had that one.
I've been here only a bit more than one month. If you put up a custom challenge you can "tune" it to within a decent range to your own level.
Also, I learned not to play Bullet or Blitz. I play Rapid (30 min or 15|10) because I need the time to think.
