Thank you for the advices. However, I feel like the more I practice, the less I win and understand. Any tips for that?

First of all, I see that you are playing 30|0 games. Those are fine because you have time to think on your moves. What I suggest for you is to slow down. Try to have less than half of your time left when you finish the game, because as it stands right now, in many cases you just leave a piece hanging. Think hard on your moves in order not to hang checkmate or pieces for free.

Follow opening principles at the start of the game in order to survive the opening stage.

So all up to 1 000- 1 200 rating your 2 main goals are:

1) Learn and follow opening principles
2) Try to avoid making big mistakes like losing material for free

It will take some time for you to do this, so try not to be discouraged. We all have some bad games, especially in the beginning. Here is a guide I've written based on my experience while trying to improve:

In any case, I hope that you will enjoy improving your game. Best of luck and feel free to ask more if you have any further questions.

I'm glad you want to get better in chess.

Here’s some ideas to help you get better.

-I recommend two books for you: “50 Poison Pieces”   and “Queen For A Day: The Girl’s Guide To Chess Mastery.”  Both books are available on Amazon.com.  Both books are endorsed by chess masters!

-If you are serious about chess, I highly recommend you hiring a chess coach to help you.

-Also consider all checks and captures on your side and also your opponent’s side. Always as, “If I move here, where is my opponent going to move?”

-Play with a slow time control, such as G/30 so you have plenty of time to think before every move.

I hope that this helps.
