"Blunders" that win the game?

‘Hope’ chess- I just tried it myself. 
I was in a terrible losing streak and decided to push my king up in line of sight of opponent’s bishop to get hit with all sorts of discovered checks. Problem is, my opponent’s king was also quite vulnerable and immediate discovered checks would result in nasty tactics. He blitzed out a random check, and by doing so, ‘hung’ a knight, and by trying to defend it, mate was blundered. He used less than 1 second to blunder that although it was a rapid game. If he were to be patient I would lose at least 2 tempo, and probably more due to the overextended nature of my pieces. The eval went from -5 all the way to +21….it works- opponent isn’t stockfish!
