Chess etiquette and bad sportsmanship. What’s the limit?

So I was getting destroyed in a 10 | 0 game with my opponent having 8 points of material up. They had 1:40 on their clock while I had around 7:00. They then messaged me, “I block people who have bad sportsmanship”. And then let their clock run out.

Was this a situation where I should have resigned? Is trying to flag someone bad sportsmanship in general? I hover around 1200~1300 and usually only resign when I get tilted. Otherwise, I would try to give my opponents as much resistance as I can.

Try not to think much about it. Cause really it is never your fault when your opponent has poor time management skills.

If someone is playing 10 | 0 I think clock management is an important part of that time control. With that said unless your opponent was talking a long time for a move the fact that you had 7:00 might indicate you do not spend enough time thinking about moves.
