The pieces on a6 and b5 are pawns
chess puzzle
I wonder which chess site that is. The chess pieces are unidentifiable, so are the colors, the position is illegal and the puzzle has multiple solutions. Otherwise, everything is OK.
I assume knights are black and it's blacks turn to move. So here is how this wil play out:
1. Kbxa6 2. bxa6 Kxa6

Thanks you. You really made me laugh, I'm still chuckling after 5 minutes ![]()

Did you actually read the opening post? Or why bother?

I’ve seen a streamer play it. It has something to do with “The Queen’s Gambit” show. It’s either a site or a game.

I'm interested in reply because it sounds like your posting excuses to not trying to solve it? The scenario was posed as a chess puzzle not a chess game.
Puzzles are scenarios for problem-solving and tactical exercises. In puzzle-solving the goal is to find a sequence of moves that achieves a particular objective, often disregarding rules that would apply in a regular game.
I'm going to assume that serious beginners are reading these blogs for inspiration, learning and study material, etc. A giving answers like you did "from a 1700 player" doesn't make sense to me personally why you wouldn't try just solving the puzzle no matter how right or wrong the board is setup. Again, because it's a puzzle.
Don't mean anything disrespectful in my reply to you just curious about your answer is all. As for me, I'm a 340 and just starting my learning path to become a better chess player which, again, is why I'm curious about your answer.
And yes, from what I can tell, THIS IS THE POST. Not sure what you're referring to. Do you see multiple pages to this post somewhere? Where does the original post start?
The OP said "I'm having trouble with this puzzle. All pieces must be guarded in 3 moves."
That's all I read? Is there another part to this post I'm not seeing?

So you did read this, and then you posted your "solution" after which only 1 piece remains and it's not guarded. How does that make any sense for you?
