Hi , total beginner here , been playing a few weeks , beginning to learn the basics but it’s chessmate that completely confuses me 🤔 I think I’ve got it , make the move and it’s wrong ! What’s the best method -if there is one for learning these moves

Take the lessons on types of checkmate. I think beginner lessons are free.
