If your talking about over-the-board (OTB) chess, then I would recommend looking in your area for local chess clubs. With Covid-19 restrictions still in place for much of the US, they may or not be very active right now. Nonetheless, I would recommend reaching out to your nearby clubs and participating. I'm sure you'll have a good time!
