I was doing horse themed accounts for a while.

I noticed that I'd kept up the llama theme for almost 2 years now, so I think I'll stick with it. Helps people know I'm back... in the past I was just doing random accounts.

Well first off I didn't like how much time I was spending here, so that was part of the initial conscious motivation. In order to help myself stay away I was choosing silly names. For example:
@poodle_noodle
@the_chin_of_quinn

Eventually I liked portmanteaus like:
@manatini
@llamonade

Which was the gateway into the llama theme.

And in general humans anthropomorphize and have empathy towards mammals, particularly cute mammals. So it's semi-friendly and semi-predictable way of hiding my real identity / my real face. For example note the many users with animal avatars, particularly cats.
