it's honestly ridiculous, paying 100 dollars just to learn how to play chess. Even if you have money to burn, at the end of the day its just a freaking board game.

Yeah, and what's with all this Netflix nonsense?  Why would anyone pay for movies when there are plenty of free ones around.  A movie is just a movie, right?  You're just basically killing time.

How does that justify paying that much for chess? A board game
baddogno

It doesn't.  I was just trying to have a little fun with your logic.  Obviously I didn't do a very good job or I wouldn't have to explain...wink.png

You can always use YouTube. This website just puts everything together, so you don't have to go searching. Some people actually want to become a Grandmaster and they take this "board game" VERY SERIOUSLY.

A board game that can teach you a lot of skills, like calculation, critical thinking, planning, creativity and a lot more.

i think the diamond is worth it if you havent tried the features

once you bust out all the lessons and videos you can downgrade

and it also helps if you are using chess.com via the browser rather than app

Diamond is very much worth it if you would like to learn the game.  In fact, I miss having unlimited lessons and being able to learn with them whenever.  I've tried other websites and youtube videos but they just don't have the same level of interactivity.
