I wouldn't worry about the rating of the opponent you're winning or losing against. You should only worry about how you played and if you're improving your play with time. You've only played for 6 days, albeit a decent number of games in those days, but there's only so much you can improve in 6 days. Also at the rating range you're at anybody can win or lose against anyone. 200 is almost indistinguishable to someone 600. Until around 800, I wouldn't say there's a meaningful difference in ratings. Just worry about improving with every game and the elo will come later.
Did better when I was at 500 Rating now im at 280 I am losing every single game.

Improving Your Chess - Resources for Beginners and Beyond…

I had a look at one of your recent losses (https://www.chess.com/game/live/132382227607?username=dunxle&move=0), and I’d say you have very good principles (you are quick to develop), but you’re lacking in 2 main areas: recognising basic traps (here the scholars mate, although they played it weirdly) and spotting tactics. For example, in the game I linked, your opponent played 4.g4. Rather than developing your bishop (which is usually good, don’t misunderstand) what jumps out at me immediately is 4… Nd4, attacking the queen, which can no longer move to h5 because of the g pawn, but it also threatens 5… Nxc2+ if the opponent doesn’t respond properly, forking the king and rook. And if they do respond properly, than either the e4 pawn or the g4 pawn are now hanging, and you have stopped the attack with a -4 advantage to black (you). But it’s okay because these things come with time. My advice is to just keep playing games and start doing puzzles. I have gone from 400 to 1200 elo in my first 3 months doing this. You can get to 1000 elo with very little opening knowledge, just learn to recognise traps.
I am new-ish to chess (Learned on a real board with my father when I was young), I decided to pick it up again and have played 94 games in past 6 days (All on Rapid 10 minutes or 30 Minutes) as people have been telling me the best way to get better is too study things like openings and to play as many games as possible.
However recently I have gone from the basic start of like 500 (I think? I can't remember) and gone down to 280. I found that when I was 500 - 350 I would win around 50% of my games but now im at 280 I lose 73% of my games. Usually at the start or during early midgame.
Why is this? It has really shot my motivation and made me think of quitting chess. As I don't know whats happening and im not improving at all
