draw by stalemate - Chess Forums

There have been several times I’ve been playing the computer and when I’m anywhere from 1-3 moves from winning the game I get a “draw by stalemate”

Is this a glitch? Or I am I missing something? I’m very new to chess

If the king is not in check and has no legal moves, then it is stalemate.

Can you post a game or ending position. It might be possible you thought you were winning but the computer forced a stalemate?
