i think Queen's gambit, though, by far is the best gambit. It is excellent positionally, and there are even traps.

ok technically the central variation one i just made up and most people won't blunder with 8...Bb4??, but it illustrates White's positional compensation. 

just some advice on how i like to decline the king's gambit:

fxe5 is literally just a blunder in almost every KG variation though

the difference between these 2 positions is that in both of them the knight will get trapped and possibly even sacrifice for a pawn, known as "desperado". But because after Nc3, you lose a knight after fxe5 Nxe5 Nxe5, you really won't be up any material. But after d6, you actually lose NO material, and you will trap his knight and be up a piece.
