What everyone else said. Myself, I consider myself pretty bad because I see that I don't know a lot. I can miss a tactic, do not understand a position on the board from time to time, I do not memorize opening moves (well not many that is) but mostly have some feeling where my pieces should go, etc. But as I am now around 1 500 here, I understand that for someone rated 900 for instance, I seem to be somewhat good. 

If you want sheer statistics, you are better than 80% people in rapid pool, so you may be considered good in that aspect. 

Some general consensus is that everything below roughly 1 200 is considered beginner like rating, over 2 000 is a very good player - in FIDE terms only around 1% players are over 2 000.
