Finally reached 1k after casually playing 3K games

I started playing chess in 2022 and after 3K rapid matches I finally reached 1K elo. Not a  facinating speed but I didn't try too hard or study any opening formally. The only ways I tried to improve is:

1. Learn Key principles: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nXyJdetptXg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mRscRsIHRGI

2. Analyze every early blunder (<10 moves) with computer, and recite them

3. Play a bit of puzzle to learn how to finish opponent

Then everything else is just play play and play! At different elo the experience is slightly different:

1. 500 - 600: just don't leave pieces unprotected

2. 600 - 700: don't blunder in first 10 moves and get a fair opening. Weird gambits start to kick in at this level

3. 700 - 800: learn tactics - pins, backrank, fork, etc. Also learn end game knowledge and convert a passed pawn into win.

4. 800 - 900: learn positions, especially pawns - pawn structure, weakness of doubled pawn, how to suffocate a knight, etc.

5. 900 - 1000:  Keep advantage. Defend against the opponent's attack. Think in the other side's foot.

I guess I'm pretty content with status quo for now. Nowhere close to club level but can battle friends casually and enjoy watching chess tournaments. Just write to encourage that people can reach 1K by casual playing with enough time!
