Finger slipping on laptop

maybe a stupid question

I realize this is more of an IT issue - but sometimes I cannot drag long distances (eg Queen or rook).  I am working off a laptop with touch pad.  sometimes I drop my piece in the wrong spot.  Any suggestions? is there another way to play online? (arrows? mouse..?)

thanks much

Tee

you can click the piece and the square you want to move it to, instead of dragging.

OMG thank you so much

Tee

no problem! glad i could help ^-^

DRAGURNOV

i would also suggest a wireless mouse maybe, makes moving pieces a lot easier happy.png

that's like a you problem. I play on mac trackpad (because apple is so clever, they put four USB-C ports and no normal USB ports on their mac!) and I am able to drag fine. The faster you move your finger across the touchpad, the longer distance it travels. Of course, you'd have to be accurate. Which is why I always make sure to play some fps games on my trackpad to get my aim right

In bullet it's not feasible to click and click because it takes too much time, so I was basically forced to learn how to aim properly 😐

well maybe it is a me problem.  I have old fingers -it is what it is.  the suggestions above are working for me - I am clicking and ordered a mouse.  I will never play bullet since I can barely play normal.  thanks

@Kisses47 This is a good question that lead to some helpful solutions.  Thanks for sharing, I'm glad someone mentioned the "confirm move" option, it will be useful in Rapids and Classical games happy.png
