Focus strategy to improve at a steady pase

Hello everyone! I got this app back in January and love chess! However, I play on and off because I get super busy sometimes and get tired with work. I don’t want to get good fast because that’s impossible... but I do want to make sure that the time I spend with chess helps me have a steady improvement. Right now my highest rank has been 1090 online and would like to hit 1500 one day... my question to you all is if I have a couple of hours a week to play... how should I use it? Games va drill vs puzzle vs watching games etc...
any opinions will be appreciated!
Thank you!

Spend some time on all those. It's a matter of emphasis. IMO dont overdo watching games. The brain needs output as well as input to learn and watching games is passive (all input, no output). Playing through annotated GM games is probably more instructional. Play long time controls, analyse your losses and fix bad habits (analyse your wins as well if you have time). When fixing bad habits focus on broad themes rather than move by move inaccuracies.
