If black plays 3...Nf6, don't go for the very sharp 4.Ng5, you'll get lost in theory and fall for traps. Just go for the simple 4.d3 protecting the e4 pawn and opening the path for your Bishop. Then castle early when you get the chance. If you see black push his pawn to d6, he's planning to pin your Knight and that would be very annoying. Just prevent that by pushing your h-pawn to h3. Notice that it also creates breathing room for your King to avoid future back rank checkmates. Play simple chess.
