@Antonin1957 Logical Chess is definitely for the beginner but have a look at Amazon reviews for the others. I saw one last night that said the John Nunn books are aimed at 2000+ players but then others that contradicted this. As always it might be a case of buying the book and trying your luck. Print version of the McDonald book was expensive. Kindle edition was reasonable.
For older players - using the clock, memorizing openings
