I have played few games here, some by accident while trying to adjust time control, How should I seek to get a game with an increment?

Choose a time control with increment from the list. (You realize that the time control can be changed?)

Thanks....Last time I tried to tinker with the time controls I mistakenly started a game.

one problem i have noticed here, though, (i only play on app so maybe playing from browser is different?) is if you dont select a time control from the “default” choices you could wait ages for a game- especially if it is of the longer variety

i have tried 30/30 (never got a game) 45/45 (never got a game) and others

here at chess.com the longest games i can find that pop all the time are 30 min

i go elsewhere for longer games

I think most people don't like to commit to such long games unless they are confident that the player will stick around. Too many people have been left hanging.

15+10 is the closest you can get to a 30 minute game with increment as a default setting. 15+15 = 30 minutes based on 60 moves.

15+10 comes out to a 25 minute game based on 60 moves.
