I got to 2000 by studying very minimally, I just read a few chess books by Jeremy Silman(Highly recommend his works), studied the Alekhine's Defense, the Vienna Game, the Budapest Gambit, and my endgames.
You read chess books, studied openings, studied endgames. That's the exact opposite of "studying very minimally". Is this supposed to be a joke?
