good openings


You should focus on opening principles for now. You do not need to memorize too much. Just first 3-5 moves and that is it.

In short it is usually advisable to play something more mainstream like Ruy Lopez, Italian game, QGD, open Sicilian as white and 1. ... e5 or 1. ... c5 vs 1.e4 and 1. ...d5 vs 1.d4 as black. Anyway, as I've said following opening principles is the main thing to do, the rest will come with time.
