Help beating Nelson (computer)
Trading queens is helpful. Had started patting myself on the back beatring the beginner and intermediate bots without assistance before encountering him. If I can keep myself from getting too excited (and careless) beyond that may actually beat him. Should get an I BEAT NELSON t-shirt or something for that milestone. Current goal is to play offensively like him.
also pro tip: if u play e4.e5.nc3 he will still play Qh5(that happened to me) then play nf3
Like any other bot he also loves closed positions It seems if the aggressive queen approach fails he has no plan B:

What i did was that i used the London system as white myself against him, and beat him eventually. Keep in mind that you need to develop normally and avoid trades early. Im beginner in chess myself, playing almost 2 weeks now, but this is how i made it. Hope it helps.
The only way to beat Nelson reliably is to memorise the best responses in the first 10-15 moves of every one of his opening attacks. In my experience, he blunders quickly when faced with a rock solid defence. Although it's still about as fun as stapling your tongue to the floor...
"all you have to do is beat him" Yeah, real fricking helpful. Your insight is as enlightening as a lump of wet coal. And as has been repeated hundreds of times on here, openings mean NOTHING to anyone who isn't a GM.

Okay, some real advice:
When you face Nelson, the 3 most important things are:
- piece activity
- king safety
-TACTICS
Concentrate on fast development. Develop all your minor pieces and castle to safety. If you do that, you will already have a huge advantage, because Nelson won't. Now it is only up to you to notice Nelson's blunders (there will be plenty of those) and convert the good position into a win.

Sometimes if I premove, nelson will just blunder his queen. It doesn't always work, but if it doesn't just trade queens as fast as possible.
Nelson is like my stopping point. I can handle every free access bot before him, but after 10 games there is nothing I can do. It's like he sees everything I'm going to do. Every attempt to take or pin his queen ends in an unstoppable series of counters. This is my most recent game (It won't let me insert a PGN).
