How do you deal with losing a lot?
In hindsight, it wasn’t even because of a sense of competition- I was just worried that losing all the time was a sign that chess “wasn’t for me” and I wanted it to be. I still consider myself a beginner- I’ve been playing on and off, but not much at all- but my attitude has improved. I realized that chess is a 2-player game, so losing is always going to be a 50/50 chance. And there must be a loser for the game to end. My simple advice is to first and foremost, play for the FUN, and every time you lose you get the chance to see WHY you lost. Become a student of chess as well as a player.
Game analysis is something I myself need to do more of, come to think of it.
I'll be honest, I'm new to chess and I'm also very scared of losing, especially in a row, I've only played 10 or 15 games so I only lost 1 or 2, but I felt really bad with myself. So I kinda relate to this. Hope we'll find the cure to that bro.

well welcome to the chess community, we hope you feel better too ❤️
Honestly take a break. Do puzzles, play the bots, etc. etc. I find losing very discouraging, probably more so than I should (it's the stupid mistakes that get me). I have been through spells where I tend to play more in an effort to win back my points and it's inevitably a disaster.
I cry into my pillow for 3 days, and start ice-cream and chocolate diet - just like every normal modern man really.
I simply wouldn't care. I am hot garbage at any player-versus-player type game so I just kind of... expect it.
maybe but idk man
i could play you
I'm trying to keep my spirits up. After all, learning something is always difficult.
