The first step is to get rid of numbers such as pi, square root of 2, sin 0.31 etc.

Mathematician, eh?

When you are ready to move ..... don't.  Force yourself to go over the entire position again.  Forget the clock.  You might lose on the clock, but ask yourself this -- "How many games have I lost to my opponent and how many to the clock?"

Avatar of firefused

Or just not move much easier means you'll never lose

Avatar of SagebrushSea

You'll lose to the clock and make an enemy for life.

What not making a move good point maybe sitting on your hands is better that way you can't start a game 🤔

To each his, her, or its own.

Must admit I love chess would be a shame never to play an online game

You have to understand which type of positions are ones where you're more likely to make mistakes.

Give up chess...or else learn from your mistake and repeat your mistakes until you make rational move..always try to find better move, Edison also failed to find reasonable material for electric bulb filament..

Before you make a move , think about the effect it would have on the position , look out for opportunities, threats and hanging pieces and don't rush by playing moves impulsively
