I guess it is not just how many hours, but the quality of the study and resources

You need to have fun doing the chess! Ive been playing chess for 2 months and now 600 elo. My friends and i compete each other so its fun to destroy them. >:) and also be destroyed ;(

I guess you will know when you get there.

I have the same goal (in rapid, I already got there in daily), although I don't know if I will get there this year or next year.

The most important thing is, I don't care how many hours it takes, I will put in those hours regardless.

Study time should be about quality of study, not quantity of study.

it really depends. I would say 6 hours a week seems reasonable. But if you are willing to work hard you could do 10 hours or more.

I think as long as you need

The short answer is "a lot".

1+ hour is good tho

1 hour per what?

1 hour per day is way too much for a normal person. It just seems impossible to maintain. 1 hour per week probably, that seems okay.

MatJakupaj

i mean i learn 2 hours a day

starlitknight

2 hrs a day

study endgames like queen vs pawn or queen vs 2 rooks studying doesnt help much untill 2300+ try to notice blunders and get better at time managment tactics are important but at your level its mostly peice hangs or missing simple mates i hardly study chess (maybe 4 hours max?)  a big tip is to play fast when you get stuck because 90 percent of the time if you freeze you will blunder and when your position looks good then think

BigChessplayer665

i meant four hours total not for hours every day if anyone got confused
