How to balance a game while playing Black?

I'm teaching my grandson to play, so I select "Auto-balance" when creating game, and then I select "Minus queen" or "Minus 2 rooks", etc. But that seems to work only when I play White. Is there a way for me to play Black and start the game minus my Queen or other pieces? Thanks for your help!
