The thing with bots is you can't really program them to "think" at a lower level. Occasionally they purposefully blunder to even out and create an average rating. So you just play normally and wait till they do something idiotic. They also have pre-prepared opening lines for common responses so you can just play odd opening moves and they self-destruct. The higher rated the bots are just decreases the frequency of them derping out.

Ironically the first time i beat Antonio, i played pawn b4 as opening , playing sicilian vs him is the worst idea i think, he even has some lines regarding "sicilian or something else?" seems to be hard coded to destroy sicilian def.

When I used to play bots Antonio was the first one I really got stuck on. I beat him eventually after days of trying but I couldn't beat anyone higher than him and it could have just been a fluke that I beat him.
I haven't tried against him for a long time I might go back and have another go.

Sometimes I don't understand how bots work. I'm trying this days with Tengo ahirXavier and when I quit because he has me trapped, this is the assessment given to the developed game

Been fighting Antonio the bot for a while now. Mostly on my phone not really on my computer. I can't beat it. It is essentially impossible It is a 2000 or even higher bot. I use to be able to beat it but can't anymore. Normally I would just use the bot to practice but I essentially stopped playing because my guess is they made it harder because the 1000 payers where killing it. That means they will slaughter me. Think me be done with chess.

Don't blunder your pieces, he will make it very hard for you to regain material 
. Maybe try to trick him by sacrificing a piece (as #34 did). Sometimes, he will do a dumb move, like not recapturing a pawn when it's the obvious best move.
If you want, you can do the King's Pawn Opening: Damiano Defense against him. Even though it's a bad opening, he never does the right move after sacrificing his knight, which gives you an advantage as black.

I just beat Antonio after about 8 tries. Yet I can't win 400 rated games. Just frustrating and there's no fun in that. Off to play an RPG.
