When the king has barley any pieces left but your left with two rooks you can checkmate. Alining two rooks is a threat to the opponent as they are strong together. You can block the king from a position that king can't capture and stays there or moves up. ( make sure you are not in a place to get captured) Then take your other rook one row above the first one forcing the king to go up continue doing this till you reach the end of the board to checkmate. This can also happen in files not just rows. If the king is hiding behind a pawn take your rook in a position that the king runs away from the pawn. ~ Thats all for today
