OK... now, how does a daily game work? Do we complete the entire game in one day...??? Or what?
Sorry to be so dense, but this is all new to me.

OK, thanks. I'm in a daily game now. I have an opponent, and I'm trying to figure out what I'm doing. I made an opening move, but it keeps disappearing. Not sure what's happening.
OK... I have to click on the checkmark to "submit" the move. I sure wish this site came with instructions!
no problem, this is how it works.
Say for example its a 3 day daily game, each player has 3 days to make a move. Once you have completed a move, your opponent has 3 days to complete his move, than you have 3 days again, than your opponent. You can find all your daily games if you hover over the 'play' button
3 days to make a move!?
wouldn't those games take forever to finish

not forever, dont forget that you could always make a move every 1 hour or something.
just curious how long those games last on average based on your experience?
I play daily almost exclusively. 3 day games tend to last about a month or less. Ive had a few done in a week or less, where both players were active and zipped the opening out by moving every few min.
The cruncher is *that guy* who takes 2.999 days per move and goes on vacation for 53 days after losing his queen. Those can take half a year to wrap up.
If you would like to play me to get one or more of your 10 games done, I move frequently. My most recent game lasted about a week, @ 13 moves -- which I mention because moving rapidly without using the given time leads to the same blunders you see in fast paced play. A lot of daily players treat it like faster time controls rather than study their board (*guilty*).
I just saw a tournament for beginners and tried to join. I'm not eligible to join because I haven't played 10 daily games.
OK... so how do I find an opponent and start playing daily games?
I tried browsing the forum, but I didn't see what I was looking for.
