OPENINGS:

If you want to do any studying, learn a system. Systems are the easiest kind of openings to learn, as you don't have to learn as many variations, only basic ones. However, just learning opening principles will produce better results. Some opening principles are controlling the center with pieces and pawns, castling early, not playing pawn to F3 early, and don't move a piece twice unless it's necessary. These are good tips that will get you good positions going into the middlegame/endgames.

MIDDLEGAMES:

Making safe plans is important. You need to make plans with some safe and solid moves. Don't just attack pieces without any plans unless the move improves your position. You also need to know tactics. Tactics are short sequences that result in you having a better positon. You can study your tactics with puzzles and lessons.

ENDGAMES:

Endgames are harder to study, but very important to know. As a beginner, you should study basic endgames and endgame principles. You can study endgames on Lichess, lessons, and Youtube videos.
