It moves straight 1 then diagonal 1 more away. But mostly 2 “straight” (which is like horizontal or vertical) the 1 diagonal. It helps if you see a visual of it. So maybe google it and go too the images

Omg the tower is a rook it moves forward and backward the horse is a night and moves 2 spaces that are diaganoly in front or back the church thing is a bishop it moves diagonaly back and forward
