I suggest that if you want to get better you must play longer games. First you need to learn, understand, analyse, get a feel for what your plan should be etc. Its so much easier to do this if you can take your time. When you have more understanding it will be easier to play blitz games. In blitz there is very little time to think and analyse, so what you are doing is playing by intuition. If you have not spent time learning through playing long games your intuition will be poor. Blitz is fun of course, but IMO there is greater satisfaction in winning a slow game that you have really thought about and taken care over, than a game which is blitzed out on instinct.
I am fixated on my next move and often overlook the best move(obvious ones)

That rear's it's ugly head when I'm juggling several different possible moves. When you finally decide on the best continuation, you move the piece that you meant to move 2nd.

Thanks mate for the advice
I have just started out and been playing mostly blitz. Due to shortage on time, I have already decided on the move that I might play which hasn't been beneficial to me. Should I play more 15|10 games rather than blitz as I have just started out or will I eventually get the hang of it and continue playing the Blitz?
