Start with tactics. At your rating you can beat anyone if you are tactically good since many people often blunder pieces.
For tactics I have Chess Tactics for Students by John Bain. It is good. To be honest though there is little difference between it and the tactics engine. Lots of puzzles grouped by Theme. What the book does is provide some structure to the learning. If you need help structuring and directing your learning then give it a go.
I am wanted to get better at chess and get some chess books. Does anybody know some good chess books if so tell me
