My Rapid rating first fell to 220 but is now at 350 and is now steadily rising.

Puzzle ratings are pretty meaningless. Also good is dependent on your time put in and your goals. Just enjoy the game for what it is, as long as you're improving that's all that really matters

it is good progress, but puzzle ratings often don't translate into your game rating, which is why your rapid elo and puzzle elo has such a staggering difference.

Usually what people do is they stop thinking during a game, compared to puzzles where you know you have to solve a position, and thus think harder. So you have the ability already, it just isn't applied into your games.

I'm not sure puzzle rating does anything.

If you solve a puzzle correctly, it will never lower your rating. And you can think for half an hour about the correct move. So in that regard high puzzle ratings are only a question of endurance.
