I keep my rating going down.

I was 1670... now I am 1530 points only.

Something happent to me. My problem is I can't figure out my opponent's next move.

But I don't give a f...ck about that.

I play for pleasure.

I an not a Chess maniac.

The question is 2 B or NOT 2 B... or in this case 2 NOT B or 2 B! meh.png

So 4example I recommend you to play something like 1. b2-b4 and surprise your opponents. There4e, b4 your opponents play what they think... they will, you surprise them. At least you will have fun with your game.

Before, also I played more solid & harvested more points. Nowadays I play very volatile & make silly silly mistakes at times. So I totally relate. sad.png

However, I also play chess as brain-exercise, so even when I suffer bitter defeats, I know that I am better on than better off!

That is my humble opinion. happy.png

Thank for advise , man.

I am tired from this race on chess.com for higher rating.

And it seems... you understand me well. )

Take a little break. It’s what I’m trying to do with COVID (but it’s hard!).

Illbtu

Take a break could do, or play some unrated games. That is doing it for me right now, so will recommend that. I have had lots of fun playing unrated games recently. It is almost just as serious but your hands are not as tied so you can experiment a bit more & when things go sour you'll take it more lightly. & Then when you feel right, you can switch to play rated.

Again my humble bid for the situation at hand. Hopefully things will be brighter for you at the end of the day. happy.png

Okeu...

Today I tried to make a break.

I didn't play all day.

It was not easy. )

korotky_trinity

We shouldn't be used to play everyday as Chess addicted men do.

Hm... you can experiment in your rated games too.

My idea is that we should not be fixed on our rating points.

Let's play for pleasure simply.

As we did in our childhood.

Kids are wiser than adults often.

My idea is that we should not be fixed on our rating points. "Understand that part. That's why I started playing unrated, also. It is a different chess experience that I will highly recommend!"

Let's play for pleasure simply. "Chess is a very serious matter for many, me included. Although just a game, it represent a vast array of symbolism that is the core of human society, history, mythology, religion, military, politics & many many & much much more than what casually meets the eye. So for that reason chess holds sway over deeply engraved human tendencies, as being projected in a simple chess game.

However why should unrated not B fun? I love both playing rated as unrated! Apples & bananas both taste just as great."

As we did in our childhood. "As a child, I took my chess wayyyy more seriously!" nervous.png

Kids are wiser than adults often. "Totally, with you on that!"

In the end, I think balance is the key to all these. Moderations!

I wish you best of luck with what ever you feel is good for you. However I would suggest a middle-ground solution, as burning bridges to something as healthy & fun as chess is not the best thing to do. That is my humble opinion.

Cheers! happy.png

I dropped my rating alot this week. 250 blitz games played this week. And i sleept very bad this night but played like crazy today after 3-4 hours os sleep. So playing to much and when tired is really bad for the rating. But its fine. I think i will climb fast back if I rest abit from chess and then play a little bit less per day.

Ancient philosophers taught us be moderated... in their writings.

Gold middle idea.

Nothing too much.

?

A strange sentence.

technical_knockout

play unrated if the number bothers you.

custom seeks:  only play people near your rating & that number will never take a big hit.    🙂

Now I am losing to people with rating  which is even less than mine is.

technical_knockout

set custom seek parameters so you would only play people rated higher than you.

you may lose more games, but your rating won't go down as much per loss & you'll probably learn more.

Okey.

The good advise.
