This is the highest rating I have ever got. (145) rapid. And I am afraid of lowering it. I remember when I hit rock bottom: 100. I played with another person who was 100 and won. Then my rating got higher and lower over and over. This is the highest I have got and I am afraid that I will lower it back down to what it used to be. So I have been playing with bots. I beat Sven, who is 1100 Elo, but I am still afraid. Any suggestions?

I challenged myself to keep on playing bong cloud until I won a game. Lost over 100 points. Yeah, it sucks, but now I’ll grind back up again.

You probably should've settled with unrated games for that challenge.

You could have done it against some of the lower-rated bots (Black playing e6, Ke7, Kd6, Kc6, Kb6, a6, Ka7 will usually still leave you alive enough to beat many of those bots - albeit there will still be the occasional mate after a single-digit number of moves).

Until the forum post, I didnt know people were actually rated 100. I thought u had to lose on purpose to get that low.

Over the board in the US there are a lot of players at 100 (or a few points above it because the US also increases a person's floor by 1 point per tournament with four or more rounds played, 2 points per draw and 4 points per win - to a maximum floor of 150 from those achievements).  Most of those players are kids starting out but there have been adults that have legitimately lost their first 40 or more games (usually because of tactical blindness).

If you find someone above your rating just abort and when you find someone below your rating then you play the game this way you can increase your score

This is not allowed, it's similar to sandbagging.

The abort option won't be available if the person keeps using it, so they can't really abuse this method.

A rating of 150 is equivalent to someone randomly moving pieces isn't it?

Is this some sort of troll post?

The adults I've known with ratings of 150 or lower were able to make short term plans and some longer term plans but were quite prone to missing tactics.  They were much stronger than randomly moving pieces.  A noticeable minority of the kids I've seen with that rating had very, very short-term plans and would miss a lot of tactics and thus might seem to be randomly moving pieces.
