I'm such a terrible player the AI thinks I'm trying to lose

If there is a ceiling that the weird roving AI of this.com looks for, where people are doing too well, I have found the floor that apparently the roving eye is also keeping watch on. I do have a self-aggrandizing theory that I'm a better player than my rating would indicate, because I make so many dumb-ahem errors. Maybe that's it. It might spot decent moves alongside absolutely boneheaded ideas, so smoke starts to pour out of its ears. But every game I play takes a while to reach my home page. It looks at everything I do, and it can't be due to success.

The AI thinks I'm sandbagging, i.e. that I'm a good player who is trying to lose. I'm just a mediocre player who feels like admitting to it.

Oh. I think you're trying to get in my face, but you haven't found the right point to lean into.

yeah thats happened to me. im terrible sometimes and they think im purposely losing. its raelly relatable and i wish that the computer would look deeper

There's a few million accounts, and I do wish they'd be more vigilant. So I can see where they're coming from. Glad today isn't starting aggressively. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

josephyossi

I'm Nerdian over there. If you want to look at a game at either site, or something similar, that would be really helpful. I expect most of the moves I make are habitual.
