I'm starting to feel the same way but I'm going through the lessons and practicing with the computer games. I started playing people using the 1 day per move, which gives me more time to think about my next move. I first started playing rated games and after watching my rating go down below 1000, I now just play unrated games. This way I can practice without the pressure of my rating going down. I'm going though the lessons, games and drills. I still feel like I'm not getting anywhere, but I will keep trying.
Impossible to improve
Focus on not giving away material for free and on taking free material. You don't need to overload yourself with knowledge at the low ratings, just focus on actually doing the things you already know.

i think this is great advice
I feel that I cant improve no matter how much I play, read or watch/consume chess content.
I'm just that much of an idiot, I can't figure out any positions, and I can't play under tough time constraints, though I still consistently lose at 30 mins chess much like I do at 10.
I feel I have no potential to get any better, and I'm actually dropping from 800 (never deserved the rating anyway).
Does anyone feel the same or have any advice.
