Some may argue that a rating of 355 in one year is not impressive, but I strongly disagree, especially for a 9-year-old. I am convinced that this boy will become a National Master as he has been raised well in chess. He understands how to develop his pieces and how to attack. He is not afraid of taking risks and plays with a lot of energy. He is a tactical powerhouse and, above all, a nice child. I believe that in three years' time, this boy will reach a rating of OTB 2100, especially if he increases his practice to four hours per day, which I believe will happen quickly. I’m proud to see how he plays chess, including gambits and tactics—all the things that make kids love the game.
It's important not to start kids with the Catalan Opening; they may never become great players if they do. While the Catalan is a strong opening, it isn't suitable for an 8-year-old. Well done, Pranav! Please book your free trial with me https://scheduler.zoom.us/darko-polimac/coaching-with-darko-
